Wando High School and Christ Presbyterian earn top overall awards

Wando High School of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina in Class A and Christ Presbyterian Academy of Nashville, Tennessee in Class B have won the overall Blue and Gold Awards in the 2023 Quill and Scroll Yearbook Excellence Contest, co-sponsored by Balfour, Herff Jones, Jostens and Walsworth.

The Blue and Gold Staff Excellence Award goes to the yearbook staff in each class that earned the most points via its individual entries. Here are the top three schools in each class:

In two Class B categories with fewer than 10 entries, judges used their discretion to not award a third place. All winners — first, second and third places, as well as honorable mentions — are eligible to apply for Quill and Scroll scholarships, provided the students plan to pursue a journalism major or work in student media at the university or college they attend.
