Three Sweepstakes winners and six National Award winners have been selected in the 2016 Quill and Scroll International Writing and Photography Contest for middle and junior high school students. Sweepstakes and National awards are presented in each of the three divisions. Sweepstakes winners receive a plaque and National winners receive certificates.

Professional journalists and journalism educators judging the contest noted the engaging story ideas and strength of writing and reporting in articles. Photographs were well executed in composition and technique. Learn more about the annual contest.
