Three bloggers win fourth annual Blogging Competition

GOLD KEYS and the opportunity to apply for college journalism scholarships were awarded to three bloggers in the third annual Quill and Scroll Blogging Competition.

A total of 16 bloggers entered the competition and received evaluations of their posts. The first-place winner was awarded a plaque and all individual winners were presented a Gold Key and digital badges.

Gold Key winners are eligible as seniors to apply for one of the Edward J. Nell or George and Ophelia Gallup Memorial journalism scholarships administered by Quill and Scroll.

The professional journalists and journalism educators who served as judges commented on the outstanding quality of work in the entries, from the blogs’ design and interactive features to the authoritative writing and engaging topics. The students’ hard work made the competition intense.

Winners of the Writing and Photo Contest divisions also have been announced.
